We are affiliated with Backcountry.com and have a direct link to their site. We make the gear presentations and they handle the gear sales transactions. Together, we bring you select, high-quality hiking gear that we ourselves use and enjoy.

We display our catalog in a format that makes it easy to locate products. Also, the search engine box on each store page facilitates easy searching by (1) product category (2) brand name or (3) keywords of your choice. We like this presentation and hope it makes your shopping easier and less time consuming.

 
NAVIGATION:

1. When you select a product from our store, a new window in your browser will open, at Backcountry.com, with the product that you selected.

2. You can add the product to your shopping cart for later purchase or you can complete your purchase immediately. Again, the sales transaction will be consummated at Backcountry.com.

3. If you decide to continue shopping after researching a gear item or placing it in your shopping cart, you have two options:
   1. You can continue your shopping at the Backcountry.com website, or

   2. you can close the Backcountry.com window and continue your shopping at Hiking.biz.

      Example: you choose an item from our store; a new window opens in your browser; you research the item and then close the window. You select another item; a new window opens; you research the item and place it into your shopping cart. You close that window and select another item and a new window opens......etc. All the while your secure shopping cart is maintained.

   Either way - whichever is most convenient for you - your secure shopping cart is maintained and you can always access it using the "Shopping Cart" button located atop the gear store page.
